7. What is the utility of the keyword « Action » ? I did not understand the explanation in Help documentation.
It's not especially relevant for most day-to-day programming. I don't have a better explanation for it though. Perhaps dherderich might have one?
As the action keyword topic already explains, the Action keyword is used for special operations that do not have a designated keyword for this special operation:
At the moment, this is the case when working with the position calibration within the 3D window.
When using the position calibration, there would be the need of several keywords like StoreCalibrationPoint1, StoreCalibrationPoint2, ..., CallCalibrationPoint1, CalCalibrationPoint2, ..., SolveCalibration. This would have resulted in 9 different keywords.
Therefore, the more versatile keyword Action was introduced. Together with the Action keyword, the desired action has also to be defined when executing it in the command line.
In the future, it can be the case, that the Action keyword might get some more options to do special operations.
In general, Action can trigger operations that are not used so often by users.
