Can't boot the software.. Missing file

  • hello all,

Anyone had this message when starting the software ?

    v.1202

I am not so familiar with windows, but seems to me it will erase files files seen as viruses. In that case, could you tell me how to turn that option off ?

If it is something else, so what it is ?

  • Hi,

If you are referencing to this message:

Could not open file C:\ProgramData\MALightingTechnology\gma3_1.2.0\system\config/Console.dat for reading

It's nothing to worry about and it's not the reason for the software not starting.

What are the specs of your computer?

    Cheers,

    Luke

  • **Update** : It actually launches, although it takes about 5 minutes before it starts...

Not much is happening in the terminal:

actually, nothing change when I launch Grandma3 files..

  • The Minimum specs say a Gen 6 Core processor, your NUC is a running a Celeron. Could be missing a CPU instruction that it needs to fallback to an older less efficient way of processing, not sure.

I have a few NUC's (7th Gen i5s and i7s), I haven't tried running onPC on one of them yet but perhaps later next week I can give it a try.
