Hey Dennis,
Don't know if I understand your question correctly:
Variables have been the software since before 1.2. They are split up between user variables (the contents of these can be different per user) and global variables. The commands to use these are listed below and can also be found in the keywords section of the manual here if you search for 'var': https://help2.malighting.com/Page/grandMA3/…keywords/en/1.2
Those variables can then be called using the '$' symbol.
Also be sure to check out the version 1.2 release notes here, since they added a bunch of stuff regarding combining strings/integers and being able to add up two variables: https://help2.malighting.com/Page/grandMA3/…header_anchor_9
For your second point, the symbol is not recognised so I don't now what you mean:
2. and are [] now available, f.e. [$counter <= 6] sh /nc
Hope that helps
Hi,
thanks for your answer.
I know that Help notes but is there no other opportunity, from "Addvar $Var1 = 1" in MA2 to "setuservar result $var1$var2" in MA3. If that is the only way, it´s disgusting...
QuoteFor your second point, the symbol is not recognised so I don't now what you mean:
in MA2 that syntax is for "just take that line if $counter is smaller or equal to 6" otherwise these line will not execute
My Question is, is that possible in MA3.
Best
Dennis
Conditional expressions are not yet supported in MA3 command line syntax.
MA2: Addvar $Var1 = 1
MA3: SetUserVar Var1 1$Var1

MA3: SetUserVar Var1 1$Var1
Best man, Thank you!!
Do you know something about these brackets [ ]?

Oh those were brackets . I thought it was a square you would normally see when a symbol is not recognized Oops
okay, Thank you guys!
