'Attribute Zoom' not working in command line

  • Hey,

I was creating some macro's that put delay times in presets, but I came across the issue that 'att Zoom' does not go to the zoom attribute like it does for 'att Tilt' or 'att ColorRGB_R'. I checked the attribute definitions in the patch and it is spelled correctly. For now I fixed it by using the attribute number instead, but thought I'd mention it here.

  • Can confirm that works...still strange why 'att Tilt' does work, but 'att Zoom' doesn't...

I guessed it might be because the attribute definition and the pretty definition were the same, but I changed the pretty name to Zooom and it still didnt work :)

Time to chance all macro's to include " I guess

  • Fair enough, but I feel in this particular case it 'should' still work without quotes like the other attributes :) Using the number works aswell, but that is slightly more difficult to troubleshoot if needed...

  • I don't think that's a safe assumption at all. Which is why it's good practice to use quotes when you want to use a name.

p.s. Did you look at the command line history when it wasn't working?

I thought I did, but did not spot the Z=Zero thing before. I agree using quotes is the safe way to do things, but then you would not discover things like this :) I just posted it here so maybe some devs might read it... Not something high priority and I already had a work around before posting so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
