i have mapped mouse scroll output to help w position faders.. not ideal but working

apc20 just grew.. outta notes last month.. ready for the review?

i currently use group xx then color change in my exec, i want a (if selected) then color change.
whats the solution?

sorry been busy.. make sure your midi input is bomes midi translator 1... on midi config

then send output in bomes to virtual out 1,

midi yoke is good if you want multi pages.. just sayn

bump..i also wish for some type of position joystick on the keys.. maybe above the dimmer scroll wheel.. would allow better mapping for precise placement..some screens that are touch might benefit also .

@btodog i havent had to use the variables in bomes.. i initate the program like this...

on note xx"pg1" any value .. note out value 10
on note xx"pg2" any value -- note out value 20
on note xx"pg3" any value -- note out value 30 etc.. 8 pages etc

then when it cycles back thru with this value it selects the function of the pads..

on note in value 10 active by name "bw1 exec"
on note in value 20 activate by name "bw2 exec"
on note in value 30 activate by name "quickshow" laser software cues
on note in value 40 acitvate by name "resolume" video software

im not saying that the group is terrible.. thats just a kill on functionality.. why have 10 pages of exec / faders etc and only have 1 midi channel in..

24 faders
bw1 and bw2 =96
f1 and f2 = another 32

thats a total input already 150 plus..

well i added page up and down.... and that gives me almost endless amount of options so there is the work around.

Dont forget WE are also providing content for this forum and our problems should be their concern and guide the development of the next version.

Sorry to be so theoretical and not definitive in my posts. Hopefully these ideas inspire thought/progress. I have to find time to try everything that is in my head. dot2 is a hobby for me, so I don't always get to my ideas as quickly as I'd hope.

yes thats exactly what i have done but i use bomes w another program... to enable more flexibility... esp when it come to routing the midi feedback from different pages/programs

and again as i always,,,, i say the support here is great and thats why im here.

is there anyway to disable the blackout function to certain fixtures or groups so that they can remain lit even if i use blackout ?

not sure i use chaser sequence,, u could say have no midiout on the first couple scenes and then have midiout on the next.. this would give u a delay.i would think

i follow what your saying as staying easy but....these same ppl dont have the money to buy consoles... so they have to learn to advance what they have available or switch software to something that supports midi controllers on a plug n play. i dont see any load midi profiles in the dot2.

i have almost completed my apc20 mapping w 8 pages of midi to control dot2's 6 wings including page up and down..plus 2 pages of quickshow pages.. since again this falls into the beginner level of pangolin.

i also use game controller for all the effects and macros in dot2 on right side. for moving ligts, left side for quickshow panolin effx

only real limitation right now besides the led feeback must be on chaser seq cmd out.... and the one channel midi in...is my ability to change fixture orientation w/o effecting program results as the show will output on different "wall" excuse my generic term as i am new

ok so i want 2 commands in the cue cmd slot.. group 9 and color preset 3 what would this be?

i dont use the external screen, i use an external monitor for the 3d program / laser program /bomes when i need it.

I adjust display size to fit first 6 faders on core wing screen, then use bomes translator mapped button to switch wing views.

works great even got the knob on apc20 to scroll through wing screens
