  • 2 port node and Dot 2 on pc

    thanks for your report about the Node4 1K.


    Sorry that you´re not complete satisfied, but maybe you have been informed wrong before you bought the unit.

    The Node 4 doesn´t calculate on it´s own, this would be necessary to do DMX channels expansion.

    Or as the MA homepage stated:

    The dot2 Node4 (1K) connects to a dot2 console or dot2 onPC software via a Plug & Play network connection. The user can easily choose output configuration 1-4 or 5-8 from the dot2 software set-up screen. The dot2 Node4 (1K) does not increase the channel capacity of an dot2 console, which is limited to 4,096 channels. Additionally the dot2 onPC software can output up to 1,024 channels of DMX when connected to an dot2 Node4 (1K)! Normal network rules apply allowing nodes to be placed remotely.


    But we were able to re-create the behavior that you described in the second part of your post!

    You´re absolutely right, 1024 patched DMX channels switch of two outputs- 1023 don´t.


    This is a bug and it´s reported to the developers, I haven´t got any more informations about this right now, but as soon as there´s a feedback, we´ll contact you.

  • trigger - time -Eingabe bei CUEs ins 3stelligen ms?

    Hallo McGyver,

    Du hast recht, drei Nachkommastellen werden nicht unterstützt.

    Irgendwann wirst Du jedoch von dem DMX Signal ausgebremst, da DMX mit 30 Hz gesendet wird, d.h. das Änderungen im Signal nur alle 33,33 ms übertragen werden.

    Wäre mal interessant zu wissen, welches Fixture so schnell ist, lol

    Aber es entstehen ev. Aufrundungsfehler, bedingt durch die fehlenden dritten Nachkommastellen.


    Wenn Du allerdings so präzise unterwegs bist, hast Du mal über den Gebrauch von Timecode als Cuetrigger nachgedacht?

    The developers worked on the performance of the 3D inbetween version 1.0.0.3 and 1.1.3.2

    So after your gMA3 is back from rental, do an update and 3D should just gooo

    Does this happen in all showfiles, also in the Demoshowfile?

    Are you loged in as a user or do you use the Admin?

  • Red Lock Symbols Are On Macros

    Hi !

    These lock symbols came with the latest dot2 software version,

    where creating of your own Macros came in.

    So the lock symbol shows you the pre definied Macros, that came with the software.

    You are now able to have a look how they are build when you use the "edit" button before you tab them,

    but you cannot delete them.

    "Behind" the locked Macros (from Macro 46 onwards), you can store your own ones now.

    ja- es wird eine 1.9x software geben.

    Schätzungsweise in zwei Wochen soll released werden.

    Gib mir noch ein weing Zeit, dann kann ich mehr dazu sagen, ob ausser bugfix und neuer libary noch etwas dabei sein wird.

  • Will There Be A Update To The DOT2 Software This Year?

    Hello everybody,


    there are some good news as well in these days:

    dot2 software version 1.9 is coming in about two weeks!


    Yes, we have to wait, but there is something to look forward to!


    The "corresponding" grandMA2 software 3.9 was released today,

    so in roughly two weeks dot 2 and grandMA 2 will be on a common stand.


    Stay tuned and: always look at the bright side of life!

    Hi folks,

    just for you to notice, there´s a new software release 1.1

    ready for you to download.

    Please find the latest version in our download section on our MA lighting homepage.


    Whats new- please check the release notes.

    What else- there´s also a grand MA2 software version 3.9 for your delight.

    dot2 users- please be patient, your 1.9 version is still in work- this will be released in about two weeks.


    As always:

    Please respect the restrictions and hints you´ll find in the release notes before you change the sw version of your onPC/ consoles.

    ich weiß nicht, ob Deine Idee richtig verstanden wird...

    Wenn nichts selektiert ist, greift der Befehl at + 5 nicht.

    Sobald Du Fixtures selektierst, funktionierts.

    Wozu benötigst Du denn dann ein Dummy Fixture?


    Falls Du Fixtures, die bereits output machen aber nicht angewählt/ selektiert sind,

    anwählen möchtest, ist der ifoutput Befehl sehr hilfreich-

    sobald Du einmal "if" drückst, interpretiert die dot2 das als "ifoutput"- bedeutet, das alle Fixtures selektiert werden, deren Dimmer höher als 0% ist.

    Ist es das was Du suchst?

    Hi brianklock,


    the option /o for overwrite is what you´re looking for.


    So the complete command would be


    copy exec 1.6 at exec 0.1.1/o


    But are you sure, that that is what you´re looking for?

    As you overwrite the exsisting main cuelist, the cues would be lost, after you have copied exec 1.6 onto 0.1.1


    If you use the move command, you could move the exec 0.1.1 onto an other executor and move exec 1.6 onto the main.

    this is possible in one cue cmd, if you seperate both move commands with a semicolon:


    move exec 0.1.1 at exec x.y; move exec 1.6 at exec 0.1.1

  • Dot2 onPC und Dot2 onPC verbinden (mit 3D)

    Hallo,


    bitte probiere doch mal folgendes:

    bei beiden PCs mal einen rechten Mausklick auf die desktop icons für die dot2 onPCs ausführen und

    bei beiden unter "Eigenschaften/ Kompatibilität" einen Haken bei "Program als Administrator ausführen" setzen.


    Als zweiten Schritt solltest Du dafür sorgen, dass nur der "Master" onPC,

    das ist der onPC, dessen Showfile Du auf den anderen ("slave") onPC übertragen möchtest,

    eine Session 1 läuft.

    Der "Slave" sollte in keiner Session sein, denn sonst hast Du zwei Session 1 und das möchtest Du ja nicht,

    Du möchtest ja, dass der "Master" und der "Slave" gemeinsam in der Session 1 des "Masters" sind.


    Nun sollte der "Slave" onPC, im "Master" onPC hinzufügbar sein.

    Ev. musst Du die Session am "Master" nochmal stoppen und neu starten.


    Beide PCs sollten natürlich IPv6 enabled haben (jeweils unter den Windows Netzwerkeinstellungen zu finden) und ihre firewalls abgeschaltet haben...


    Please check
