HTP is great for conventional lighting because you don’t really have a need control any other parameter besides intensity- which has a definite higher and lower.
LTP is need to control parameters such as color wheels, gobo spin, etc. These parameters don’t have a higher or lower setting, also one color is not greater than another color, for example.
For me, there is a limited need for HTP and LTP together but only rarely.

Hope it is soon. I understand you need to do it right, but the dot2 usually has a very long update waiting period. Now that the GrandMA3 is going, attention can be turned back to the dot2 for awhile. Been living with these bugs (like the encoder wheel to scroll with and others) for six months now which frustrates some of our guys.

Very annoying
But everything else that I use seems OK so far.
Got some tricky thing coming up. I'll see how it performs with that.

Es sei denn, Sie haben eine der dot2-Konsolen. Dann haben Sie 4.096 Parametererweiterung.

I understand that a date can not be pinned down, but long as the the update is or by Oct 1st, I'll have time to learn the new features and be able to have time to program our Christmas show!

What a great video tutorial! Very, very useful to us. Thank you, Michael.

Could you attach a English .PDF also, please?

We use a soft tipped gold stylus that matches our console. Works well.

Click on Archived Files to download an earlier version. There are about 7 versions to choose from.

No issues here running 23 inch touchscreen running OnPC with Pathport Manager, ProPresenter for our Environmental Projection and Scrims on Windows 10. We also have a 23 inch touchscreen hooked into our dot2 Console.

What Michael suggested works extremely well for us. I ran the same show file for months changing it as needed for our show. I saved our effects, presets, stage looks and executors on to that one program and grouped them well. I tried to think of every scenario that we will need or could happen. We now use that program as a template and it has saved me hours of programming time.
If there is major changes to a program or a lot of new original content, I would save that as a new template.
Have Fun!

Wir benutzen beide Methoden, Jajix und vor allem was Michael oben dargelegt hat. Beide sind zuverlässig und eine gute Möglichkeit, dies zu tun. Vorwärts- und Rückwärtsfunktionen funktionieren gut.

We do it by using a MIB (Move In Black) or if effects are running, store a Cue in between Cue 10 and Cue 11. 10.5 for example and name it MIB (or what ever cue you are using just before the change) set that cue to a dimmer of 0 and set it to FOLLOW automatically so it goes to Cue 11 and turns the Fixture dimmer back to your desired setting.
It takes very little programming time as we highlight all fixtures that have a color wheel make a MIB cue, then copy it to anyplace in the show that we need it. Some shows we have to use it a dozen or more times and we never had a problem. We keep one handy in an executor also.

Add MA + FIX keys (lock console) is the "pause" key on the keyboard to your Lars list.

Thank you Lars.
I tried it out by turning everything on and going through the show on the console. I then shut the console off at a critical point in the show while onPC was on. It ran seamlessly.
Again, thank you (Danke).

I have a dot2 XL-F with a dot2 B-wing. We are using 1,798 channels (about 3-1/2 universes). I usually have the dot2 onPC running with one dot2 node4 [1K] when we do a show. Going over our protocols, I was wondering In case of an unlikely console failure I would Like to have the dot2 onPC take over the show, but it is limited to 1,024 channels with a dot2 node4 [1K]. We are using a sACN Network.
I would like to see the dot2 onPC channel count increased to a total 2,048 channels by using two dot2 node4 [1K] so the dot2 onPC can be used as a backup console. With a limited budget, having two dot2 XL-F consoles is out of the question. I'm also open to other backup options.

From my physical dot2 console I went to SETUP - NETWORK PROTOCOLS and checked both Art-Net and sACN so they were on.. I used the address from sACN in Safari on my iPhone 7+
Works very well.
Here is a screen shot from my iPhone:
