Thank you Ryan. Have moved my enquiry there.

Can anyone please tell me how I may run Nomad on one PC and grandMA2 onPC / Ma3d on the other? The two Pcs have Ethernet cards and connect the same router. I need to know what to configure in MA2 as Nomad has an address of 10.0.0.1 for the visualizer in built. All help gratefully received.

Thanks hoss & Rex for your replies. The PC is not really up to spec for upgrading to Windows 10 and you would have to pay to do it
.
Rex - that's great. I would appreciate if I could have a copy of the installer. I don't know whether you are allowed (or able) to upload it here or send it via email to me?
Thanks again.

I have a PC running Windows XP (don't laugh!) and would like to put grandMA2 onPC & MA3D on it to donate to my local AmDram group so they can get some experience of off-stage lighting design. My problem is that the only highest version of grandMA2 onPC that works is 3.0.0.5, the higher versions get 'not a valid Win32 application' or an 'entry point xxx not found in kernel32.dll' and crash. The grandMA2 v3.0.0.5 works with MA3D v2.9.1 up to the point that the two don't connect due to MA3D being a wrong version (version number is red in the MA Network Configuration window).
Is there a MA3D version somewhere that will work with grandMA2 v3.0.0.5? I've tried MA3D v3.2.2.16 but it instantly crashes. This might be a lost cause but I'd like to try.
Any help would be gratefully received.

While working on grandMA2 & grandMA3 it is a great disappointment that features in MA3D such as barn door and shapers for fresnels and profiles, non-fixture models of people, instruments, musicians and other elements from the Media Database, have not been carried through to grandMA3. Or have I somehow missed this, or will this be addressed in a future version of MA3? If it wasn't for grandMA2 not having a model of Martin Rush PAR2 Zoom that works in MA3D, I would stick to MA2 & MA3D. (Rant over :-))
Could anyone suggest what fixture type would fit for a Martin Rush PAR2 Zoom in MA2 to get it working please??

Thanks again. Brilliant!

Thank you Hoss. That's great. Just one more quick question - do you always have to exit the Patch window to get the changes applied?
-
Figured it out. Had to exit the Patch window. Having got the 'platform' now visible and selected in the 3D window, next question is how do you adjust it's size?
-
I got as far as getting a platform into the fixture list by 'inserting a new fixture' but it didn't appear in the 3D window. Am I doing something wrong or need I do something more?
-
I would like to know how to get 'non fixture' (e.g. platforms, trusses etc.) into the 3D view screen. It used to be so simple in MA2 3D but there is a serious lack of help on these objects anywhere to be found. If anyone could please point me in the right direction of a video, documentation or help to explain what to do I'd be very grateful.
Thanks.

Finally got there. Only entered the wrong command in MA3 to allow fixture control to be from Nomad. After entering 'Park DMXUniverse 1 At 0' I was able to control all fixtures from Nomad including my Rush PAR2s.
Thanks for everyone's help.
-
Thanks. Have done the export successfully.
-
Thanks. I was hoping it would be more than that, as the trickiest part, and most time consuming, is populating the fixtures in visual 3D.
-
Thanks guys. I've done a lot of work in setting this up in grandMA2 and MA3D onPC, but can I use the same showfile if I install and use it in grandMA3 onPC ?

Can anyone please tell me what I can do to get Martin Rush PAR2 zoom (9 channel) fixtures to work correctly in MA3D? They are defined correctly in grandMA2 but there are no fixture types that work in MA3D. All help will be gratefully received. Thanks.
