I’m also curious if there is a way to get in to the settings

Your best and most reliable option would be to buy a grandMA OnPC 2portNode 2k.
grandMA3 onPC 2Port Node 2k | MA Lighting International GmbH
And the cheapest option is to look for a distributor and not a random webshop.
When you would buy a vizkey you would also have to buy a Node because you cannot use the enttec DMXpro with the grandMA software
(without doing some internal artnet to dmx conversion with other software)
-
The missing hardware buttons are replaced with software buttons on a screen on the console.
-
But… how? The buttons aren’t there…
The onPc node is a nice solution to add parameters to an onPc system but I can’t see how you would use an MA3 command wing in gMA2 or dot.2

First:
https://help2.malighting.com/P…onPC_settings/en/1.5/MIDI
And Then configure a new midi remote in the in/out menu.
-
Im running grandMA3 on macOS 11.01 right now without any problems.
The only thing I cannot confirm is if the Command Wing will work, because I only have a 2portNode.
But the software and output via the 2portNode is working great.

I think the move in black is not implemented yet.
-
I tried it, and it is nice!
-
Ah ok. Thanks.
I liked it but I understand that it was maybe not consequent.
-
Maybe I'm wrong but I am not able to get the long press update gesture to work in 1.1.3 like I had it in 1.0.0.
I have to toggle Add New / Original content only in the update popup in order to get it to work.
Am I missing something?
With kind regards,
Sander.

Even though your Mac Pro is a incredibly powerful machine it does not meet the minimum system requirements of having a 6th generation Intel core processor.
From what I could find out on the web:
-
I'm also very interested, because I got QLab to (kind of) listening, (I could send a command and then "capture" the OSC message in the OSC remote tab in the workspace preferences, but I was not able to send commands that were defined from the QLab API.
So, MA to QLab kind of works, but QLab to MA, is still a mystery to me.
-
With the onPc you could use an USB Midi Interface and any Midi Translator software
And how would you tell the software which midi to listen to?
-
From what I understand, for the time being it is not a possibility to assign another midi input than the one on the command wing or on a console.
But I’m also curious so hope anyone knows a workaround.

I had exactly the same problem.
5 times I did it with 2 sticks.
When I tried with a smaller usb stick, (8Gb USB2), funnily an grandMA3 stick, it worked like a charm.
hopefully it will work. -
The Move in Black function is not implemented yet. They wrote that in the release notes.

Hello!
For some reason the grand MA 3 app screen is not resizable and on the half of my laptop screen.
is there a way to fix this?I reinstalled the app already.
thank you in advance.
edit:
to be clear, this was not the case before,I’m on a MacBook Pro 13” touchbar 2017
edit 2:
by moving the screen 1 to “sidecar” on my iPad and changing the resolution the grey app header with the red green and orange dots popped back in sight.
not sure how but it’s fixed for now! -
Thank you so much.

Is there an "OSC dictionary" or list with commands I can find somewhere?
