dot2 Tips + Tricks special - 1.3.1.4 Web remote

Can you help, I can connect to the web remote but it asks for a username as well as a password and I have no idea what the username might be?

Hey,

normally there should not be any request for a username, as there are no users in dot2. If there is a request for user it would be good to have a picture of that screen and to know the way how you get to that screen...becuase this would be a fault.

The default password is "remote" and you can change it in the Global Settings of your console or onPC.

Hi, sorry for the late reply but I have attached a screenshot. I know that it doesn't say username but when I try and just put in the password in the bottom row, it asks for a username.

are you sure that you are trying to login into a dot2 console?
Because the web remote looks completly different to what you have:

Yes, I'm sure. It's the correct IP Address and it works on my I Pad fine with the display that you have shown.

Maybe your iPhone is using the wrong connection (LTE) to log in. Can you try to activate the flight mode and aftwerwards activate Wifi again. This makes sure that the iPhone can only use the Wifi connection to connect to the console.

Did you changed the IP adress (192.168.1.10) of the console manually? Because its normally something like you can see in my screenshot...

From my physical dot2 console I went to SETUP - NETWORK PROTOCOLS and checked both Art-Net and sACN so they were on.. I used the address from sACN in Safari on my iPhone 7+
Works very well.
