Hi.
MA dot on PC works with Korg NanoControl2. Does the program will work with, for example, Akai APC?

I'm using Bome Midi Translator and have it working well with an APC40. I'm very new to all of this, so you'll see me asking questions across these boards. I have had many successes with the APC40. When I'm done developing my mapping file, I'll share it. It might be a week or two before I am finished.
I think the NanoKontrol also requires the Bome middle-ware, as it sends CC's (control changes) and I think onPC only recognizes midi notes+velocity (I think).

OK, good news. You are a good, honest man ...
I find this, https://youtu.be/3kVREqzTzb4
beautiful. And other.
I will be grateful for your help in the future.

You use APC 40 or APC 40 MKII?
-
Original, not mkII.

Hello,
I am a user APC40MKII. I got it about a month and so far I am satisfied. I'm looking for someone who already has more experience than me. I miss adjust a few small things to their full satisfaction. -
What problem are you having? I'm not much more experienced than you, only days more at best. If I can offer some insight, I will.

nano control has small sliders which you may not like when it comes into positioning movers.. i agree with the apc..i use apc20 and game controller with an extensive bomes translator file

Did this ever get shared? I'd like to take a look before I purchase a midi controller specifically for Dot2!

when it gets down to scripting everyone is different and its better for a person to draw sketches of what they want the specific buttons to do and then script that section.. there is alot of hours in scripting this and is personal preference.. which comes with a price .
I may choose to share mine but still undecided at this time.. maybe if i could afford a second apc20 or 40 i would be willing to trade
mine is still under updates right now... but is a solid performer thus far

Ok, for the record: I'm not looking for a hand-out, just a real-world example better than most manuals usually give... (o;

I'll try to share it tonight, I've been busy at my real job. I actually snuck home at lunch to create a label system for my APC40.
It's only mostly complete. I started actually using it, so I quit developing it...
My first real "live-puniting" gig is this weekend for a local band and getting a file that I could interface with was priority, even if it was only using 80% of the APC40. -

I'm not sure how you're using it, but what I've done isn't that complex. It just takes time to do it. I'm an amateur, creating a way to have more fun.
What I'll be sharing is the Bome Midi Translator file that maps the APC40 CCs (and the few notes it sends) to notes that onPC can recognize/distinguish. I'm using the free universe, so there may be other options than the way I've mapped my APC40. I only have 127 notes allowed. The APC40 could use more than that, but like I said above, I kind of got to the 80% of 127 notes and started using it more than mapping. I only mapped further when I felt I needed a button that hadn't been mapped.

Here's what I have so far for the APC40.

I'd love to get feedback on the file above, if anyone has any suggestions or finds improvements.

Hello Brian.
My APC 40 will come in a few days. So I have a question. You are using the Free or Pro translator boom. Can you send me the link to the correct version? Thank you in advance. -
I'm using the full version of BOME, but the trial should work fine initially. It only allows you to work for 20 minutes then you have to restart it. I setup several translations/inputs and mapped them to real functions in dot2 before I purchased the full version. Once I was sure I could make something work, I upgraded.
You should be able to download both versions by searching BOME Midi translator.
Pics from my first real gig this weekend, a frat party in the next town over. Amateur at best, but it was a success nonetheless.

My kid is doing a light show at his kindergarten talent show. I'm not available for every practice, so I've created this little schematic to help my wife hook everything up. It may be useful in this thread.
For practice, I've given him one light. For the show, he'll have 4 in a square around him on the floor. They dance around him w/haze and he activates different All-effects. He's jamming to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" and for each change in dynamics, he selects a level of dynamics he wants. He does a fantastic job. He had to try out. After the tryouts, the teacher organizing the event asked could he be the opener and the closer. "Why yes he can!!"
