View problem in MA3xtcompact

I have a problem the fader display on the left screen. When I tap sequences from a layout (on the startshow for that matter) it changes the view in the lower left screen to xbuttons view and the only way to return it to fader view is to switch to another view and go back. It drives me insane. Is there anywhere in the software that can lock the fader view? Pressing U1 and U2 doesn't affect the left screen.

PS/Question 2. I want to cancel the sub attributes in my encoders so I can move freely between 0% to 100% with my encoder without needing to choose another sub attribute. Is there a way to cancel it?
