Is there a way to lower the resolution of the encoder knobs on the playback? As a temp fader they take too many turns to get to full.

There is no resolution setting for the encoder-knobs, however for a Temp knob, a plausible workaround could be to add an empty second cuepart with i.e a fade time 4 times longer than your original cuepart, to force the actual content to be fully executed within the first quarter of the full travel.
