How do I configure a grandma3 8 port node to work with my Dot2 console? The ip address for the console has special characters and I don't see a way of typing them into the node... I have had it set up on a dot2 4 port 1k node... The old node keeps shutting down so I tried to replace it with the grandma3 node...

1 Switch node to grandma2 mode
2 select Artnet mode
3 set node ip to 2.x.x.x
4 turn on artnet output in dot2 console (setup / network protocols) -
if it doesn't work right away - it will be necessary to change ip dot2 console to 2.x.x.x

SetIP command display ip addres ipv4 & ipv6 (onpc)
dot2 & dot2 node(1K) works with ipv6 (dot net protocol)
art-net works only with 2.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x
ma3 node use ma3net protocol in ma3 mode, and ma2net protocol in ma2 mode or art-net or sacn. (dot net protocol is not implemented
- this node cant work same as dot2 node)
in my work i use router with dhcp (2.x.x.x) - onpc & node get correct ip from dhcp.
If u not use router - u need set correct ip on console & node to work with artnet
ex
console 2.0.0.2
node 2.0.0.3
You can use any artnet device to receive artnet data. I have a normal artnet gate, ma3 node and dot2 node and they all work without a problem. -

Yes thank you...I was able to get all the universes working... For some reason the rgbs I have for top washes would blink ... They already have a terminator on them...So I bypassed that universe from the node by going directly from the board and it fixed it... Maybe a power issue... not sure but you got me up and running.. Thanks man
