Changing Wing ID of in built playback bar

  • We can change the actual wing ID of the fader assignment on the physical console (eg I'm using a CompactXT instead of a full size and need my executors to be 16-30)...

However the playback bar at the bottom of screen 2 will remain showing 101 thru 115, etc.

Is there a way to change the playback bar with the physical executors?

    Cheers

  • For now you can do this by changing the WingID of the corresponding wing in the MA3-Modules tab of the USB configuration menu: Menu - Settings - USB Configuration - MA3 Modules.

  • Anyone know if there's an answer to this as of 1.9.2? I find myself in the exact situation, switching between a Fullsize and Compact XT, and would love to be able to flip wingIDs like you could flip Surfaces in MA2.

  • Going from a fullsize/light to a command wing xt - is there a simple way to choose which 10 faders the command wing looks at in the USB config menu? Say I wanted to look at 5-15 instead of 1-10?

  • Ryan Kanarek Thanks for the reply, however on the XT the executor title bar doesn't change its labels, even when the faders and executors are set to the second wing. The ReloadUI command does not seem to change it either.

  • I don't think there is any change to this behaviour currently yes?
The on screen overlay always shows the same executors regardless of the wing setting (ie it does not follow the physical executors...)

  • Hi,

is there a way how to assign WingID via commandline?
I want to build macros to select between Wing1 and Wing2 on MA3 light same as we can in MA2 with "Surfaces"

  • Hi everyone,

I tried to look on the manual but I haven't found a solution yet, I think I'm in the same topic here

I have a command wing on pc (so I have 10 physical faders). I have 2 screens: on display 1 on the bottom I have the encoder bar, perfect.. on the display 2 I have the playback bar.. ok.. BUT on that playback bar I see from 101 to 115 (wing 1 page 1). but I have only 10 physical phasers on my command wing so is useless to see 111 to 115.. is there a way to see only 101 to 110?

  • I have not found a way to do exactly what you are asking. But I know some alternatives:

    1. If you press „U2“ on your command wing, the encoder bar will be replaced with what you are looking for. This is what I use because it requires the least screen space
    2. You can set the encoder bar to use only the right half of the screen and the left half is used by a playback bar. Very cramped on Full HD displays, but great for larger resolutions.
    3. You can open a playback window and configure it to show only 10 faders. Unfortunately the window will require much more space.
  • Thank you for your reply

solution 2 it's not good for me because my setup is composed by 2 15" monitor, so the right one fits exactly for the encoder bar and it's good, the left one for the playback bar

i'll give a try for the number 1 or 3 :D thank you very much

    Hi,

In the Configure Display menu you can switch off 'Show Command Line' and 'Show Playback Bar' in one display.

Then you can place a playback window there on the screen with or without a Custom Master Section window.

In the playback window you can select the desired Wing ID.

  • Hi guys.

I'm working accross multiple surfaces atm. (Fullsize, Light and C-XT)

I'd like to create a macro to change MA3Module “WingID” from WingID 1 to WingID 2 via the commandline?

    I've tried the below.

Set Root "UsbNotifier"."MA3Modules".x Property "WingID" "Wing1"

Set Root "UsbNotifier"."MA3Modules".x Property "WingID" "Wing2"

Any other ideas what an alternative syntax could be?

Also when I change my WingID on a C-XT via the “Menu”, it reconfigures the playback faders, but not the playback screen bar.

(There’s no change when I ReloadUI)

    Any suggestions are very welcomed.
