Find CurrentCue

Hi,

I'm searching a way to get the object from the current cue in LUA. I need to check the amount of cueparts in my current cue.

I found the function to find the current executor page and sequence:

After some trial and error I fond the solution:

function Get_CurrentCue()
    local mySequence = SelectedSequence()
    local cue = mySequence:CurrentChild()
    local output = cue[1]
    return output
end

Your posted reminded me to check for missing functions on the wiki.

I added SelectedSequence() based on your example, but i haven't added information on the SequenceDataObject yet, I have to go down that rabbit hole again at some point.

This would be possible with Lua, however maybe you could describe how you actually intend to use this variable?

In most scenarios it would be easier to either access the current cue directly via commandline (without using a variable), or to use Lua directly to perform the action you intend the variable for.
