Creating your own Macros is possible in dot2 v1.9.

how would I create one that's a grid check/pre heat?
say I want every fixture to turn on to full with a fee of 30 seconds?

All fixtures at the same time or one after the other?
At the same time, this example would work. But be careful, no fog or other effect should be addressed via a dimmer.
Line No. 1: Fixture 1 Thru At 100 Fade 10
Wait Colum of Line 1: 40
Line No. 2: Fixture 1 Thur At 0 Fade 10
Selects Fixture 1 and all behind it, sets the value to hundred in a FadeIn of 10 sec.
Waits 40 seconds from the start of the first command.
And then fades out all fixtures again in 10 seconds.
Timing must be switched on in the header (yellow font).

Iv tried what you suggested but what ever I do it doesn't take my fade command so the lights just snap on and off?

Possibly the "Exec Time" is activated and set to zero. This overwrites the fade times. Or the "Master Rate" is activated and is set to a small divisor.
This applies to all fade times.

Oh okay so you have to have that time set for the macro to work?

iv also tried changing the magic timing for execution and programming and it still makes no difference?
