  • Hello,

I'm on tour with a Theatre Show with some Martin Rush, so it is a really simple show, basically conventional.

Two weeks ago OnPC software crashes during the show. With any reason the software closes, I lost DMX output and Had to start again the software. It wash with v1.4.

So I decided to upgrade to v1.6 becasue I thought I will be more stable.

So Today it crashes 2 times during the show, So it's very annoying and I have the producer very angry with me because I encourage to prodution to bet for MA3 instead to other Desk.

My system is allways under SAI.

  • Please contact our local dealer or the tech support.

Please provide them your show file, the serial number of your station (open the system info window to see the SN), the crash logs (you can find them in C:\ProgramData\MALightingTechnology\gma3_x.y.z\onpc\temp\crashlogs, where gma3_x.y.z stands for the first 3 digits of your used versions, e.g., 1.6.1 or 1.4.2)

  • Yes, it is also important to note what happens/you are doing right before the crash because the software doesn't "Just Crash" and it's highly irregular for the software to ever crash during a playback situation. (to be fair is highly irregular for it to ever crash at all).

    Hello Jordithomas

The same thing happened to me. I have the same desk. Simple show, 16 moving lights, some LED stuff. The console crashed 3 times. Some moving lights did like a "short reset", some just stopped (DMX Hold).

Support checked the device and unfortunately did not find anything.

What was the reason for the crashes in your case?

    regards dirk

  • Hi,

    please check your hardware.

    Intel NUC i7 10th gen

    SSD evo 540Gb

    32 Gb RAM

If this hardware has a Intel UHD Graphics on-board graphic then it has only Shared Video Memory.

For grandMA3 onPC we need a graphic card with hardware acceleration. A minimal 1024Mb dedicated Video Memory is needed.

That could be a reason for a sudden crash.
