OK I'm looking for a dmx input and output node, do you have a model to advise me for less than 200 €?
hello thank you for your suggestion do you own one?
I spotted this model when you thought? https://www.thomann.de/fr/bote…2_pro_artnet_dmx_node.htm
I'm not sure, but this controller only has one universe. admittedly it is newer and has an rdm, but since you want to use it as input then it is not needed. chauvet has two universes. you can set one as out and the other as in. give me one two days. I will test this chauvet with a friend and let me know
I think This device can work too
hello Krzysztof Korzeniowski I saw that you know there in midi control, is that it is possible to control dot2 with my dmx console to connect in midi?
Stage Desinger 50 has a midi output - so if it sends midi notes there - it should be done.
You need to connect it to your computer somehow - so you would have to buy a midi interface, or some midi audio interface.
With this solution, you will still need to concert CC midi signals - on note + velocity (when it comes to faders)
Both solutions work similarly - be it dmx in or midi in ..
MIDI is limited to 128 notes
on DMX you have 512!
The dmx control is also more accurate - because it has 256 levels - and the midi is only 128
You can buy a cheap USB midi driver - but purchase of an artnet gate with two inputs is the best solution at this point.
currently i am using an art net dmx input for faders , but can't get buttons out of it . so , i am also using midi / Bome to input from a Korg NanoKontrol2 . buttons and faders . works great , except for one small problem . DMX faders match parameters existing before affecting changes . MIDI changes parameters to whatever the fader is doing immediately . am i doing something wrong with MIDI ?
