So, I've been having some strange issues in MA3. I patched a whole bunch of VL2600 spots and GLP X4s, all looked good. I went to start cueing my show and the fixture's intensity parameter won't fade in cues. I made a cue, set a CueFade of 3 seconds (with fixtures intensities going to 100% from 0%), but when I run the cue the fixtures snapped on. All other parameters (color, gobo, etc.) faded in over the 3 seconds, but intensity snapped on. But the fixtures fade out in proper timing if I make a cue that takes them from 100% to 0%. Any ideas?? Thx

I don't understand. You say they don't fade, but then in the last sentence, you say they do fade in proper timing in what seems to be the same scenario. What am I missing?

What am I missing?
Fixtures fade OUT in proper timing.
I have not seen this problem but maybe it has something to do with the broken HTP-function? -
Yes that's correct Ringen. Doesn't fade in, but fades out. At first I thought I accidentally put a 0 time into my 100% dimmer preset, but no. Still happens when using hard values. I thought maybe there was a dimmer curve issue (that just snapped to 100%) but no. And it's weird that it's on both fixture types (VL2600 spots and GLP X4s). See video:

I had a similar thing happen on a test show. I would bring the fader up and the values would jump from 0 to 100 and not follow the fader. I did not notice if it faded out. Starting a new show and configuring it the same way fixed it self.

Hi hoss,, any idea for the root cause, I have exactly the same issue as reported above in 1.6.3.7. Fadin in is not working Fadout is running as expected.

Unfortunately I don't. If I got found anything I probably posted it here, but I remember specifically.
Though this was not the issue above it's worth checking that you don't have an individual time stored in a preset as it will override the cue fade time.
Due to some unfortunate color choices of the console it's really hard to see if you aren't looking for it.
Here Cue 2 is using Preset 1.1 to set the value to 0%. However if you look very closely you can see that the cue has both cyan and green markers
Cyan for the preset and for Individual Time
So in this case if you take a look at the data in the Fade parameter you will notice that while the cue says it has a fade time of 3 the I.Time for the dimmer from the preset is actually set to 0.5 Seconds.
Because of missing stuff like this I almost always turn on the Layer Toolbar, and change the Preset to include the value (e.g. ID+Name+Value) otherwise you could be spinning your wheels for a bit.
Additionally you could try editing your preset or Extracting it's values to see if this could be the cause.
Again this is not the issue I saw in the past but I don't recall seeing it since.
