Hi all,
I have a problem with which I need advice. I have dot2 XL-B associated with dot2 Node4
After updating console to version 1.2 is at Node4 output D is set as the input. Can I change him alone DMX IN 1-8 but always as an input. I need it to be output. The manual is not written that the connector can be used as an input, it is a new feature or a bug?
Sorry for my English, more attached photo.
I wish you all a nice day and health Frankfurt

Have you tries to switch off the node power, or to start the session new?
I can configure my nodes only from 1 to 8 (there is no “in” possible)….. -
Assignable Ports is a new function in version 1.2.
I haven't worked with the node in the new version but I would try to right click in the XLR D settings and see if the console gives you a popup to choose port functions. -
To Push: Yes, I made the restart several times, also a new session, I recorded another showfile still the same result.
To Go-Button: it means that I have to connect a mouse to the console? Another way to change this is? I try this evening.
You can use XLR DMX-D as input and will operate as DMX input on the console? -
No mouse is not necessary. Just try to press the right encoder when the selection is in the right place.
-
No idea how that could automatically adjust.
You can change this over the commandline.
Open a commandline and write:
cd netconfig (Please)
cd “DMX Node” (Please)
cd 1 (Please) (for your first node or 2 for your second node…)
assign 1 /XLRD=“out 4” (Please) (for the XLR “D” for Universe 4)
cd / (Please) (to go back to the root)
regards -
to Go-Button: This is what I've tried. A new window opens where I assign a universe.
to Push: I try this evening. -
So you solved it?
-
Now I'm at work, and the console is home, try to hints the evening. Write result immediately after testing
-
Hi all,
To Go-Button: im sorry, no effect, problem persist.
To Push: all done without errors, XLRD still the same, no effect. XLRB="out 4" Node setting port B to univers 4, this is ok. My Node4 is defective?
Any other ideas for solution ? -

Hello guys,
this Problem occurs, when a Version 1.1 showfile is loaded into a console running 1.2 Software
and a dot2 node4 is in session. Please have a look into the attched tech. Bulletin to solve this issue.
Sorry for this.Cheers,

Hello,
thank you for a quick solution.
I dare little clarification.
assign 1 /XLRD=“out 4” command not properly, helped to command assign 1 /XLRD=“Out 4”
I had to use a capital letter O in a command out. although I have repeatedly tried other XLR then capital letter was not necessary.
Can anyone confirm this?have a nice day
I'm sorry for my bad English -
Hello Lumirt,
you are right -my mistake. The O of "Out" has to be an "O" not an "o"Oh oh!
The tech. Bulletin has been corrected.
Thank you for finding this!Cheers,
Michael
