  • I would like to print out my patch information from a show file. Is there a feature built into the console that can do that? Or is there a way to accomplish my goal through the terminal?

    Thanks in advance,

  • I don't even really need anything pretty. If I can get a CSV report I can put that into Lightwright or excel and that would serve my purposes as well.

    Thanks,
    Bill

  • this should do the job in v1.1.95:

    insert a USB stick

    press Backup > Loadshow

select your USB stick in the drive/folder menu

Press Escape/back twice to leave the Backupmenu

    Enter into commandline

    List 10.4.2.*.* /filename=mypatch

you should then find the file "mypatch.csv" in the /dot2/reports/folder of your USB-stick

if your regional settings defaults csv as comma-seperated values (US) - merely open the file in Excel
if your regional settings defaults csv as semocolon seperated values (Europe) start new file in Excel and import the csv file, with comma set as field-delimiter

  • reading my post, I realise I was complicating things alot..

for a basic patchlist on the dot2, it should be sufficient to just do

    List fixture Thru/filename=mypatch

or using the shortcut for filename, f

    List fixture Thru/f=mypatch

  • Looking back into my basic computer programming from eons ago; a 'list' is an array of data with multiple components...by asking for a 'list' you're asking the 'machine' to 'print' all data associated with the object on screen when the command is executed.

    good luck!

Is there any documentation available for the List items e.g. List 10.4.2.*.* /filename=mypatch
Where can I find out more on the items available to be listed?

  • I would say read up on the topic here: List Since Dot2 is based upon the same architecture, the List Cmd is the same; just doesn't have an entry in the Glossary. Since you can't 'write' a Macros outside of a Cue, I assume that CmdLine operation in the Dot2 schema isn't expected?
