  • How can I do a setup with two APC20 on Dot2 onpc.
Right now they send the same midi message to Bome for each fader and button. Is there a way to separate them in Bome?

  • Yes, because you can't setup them to send on different midi channels.

But the are connected thru different connections. I don't know bome, but you could try to push one apc to an other midi channel.

btw. bomac also can't handle two of the same devices (same windows display name)

  • I have now made two presets so now it works.
But with midi I am a little short on note, 128 is max with midi.
So I was playing with BOMAC, but cannot get it to work at the same time as the ArtNet to DMX software is running, since I use a ENTTEC usb-dmx on the Dot2 onPC
Anyone have had the same experience?

Midi sends values between 0 and 127 (7 bit)
BOMAC will map these values to a 8 bit DMX = 0=0 and 127=255.

Did you have the correct IP address ranges on your network adapter?
Is your network adapter connected to a network?
Do you see the DOT2 in BOMAC?

  • Bomac works until I start the Artnet to DMX Software.

    Can you be more specific?

Lets talk about TCP/IP and UDP/IP.
Per IP address a software can open a ports. Each port can open only once per IP.
If you are now running multiple software products opening a Art-Net UDP port, this can cause problems.
You need to assign many IP addresses to you adapter, then you can bind each software to an IP. Then each software can open the required port on his own address.
You can bind bomac to a address using the project settings dialog by clicking on the second tab "local IP".

  • Okay.
Not a expert on this but hers how it is, and I’m clearly doing it wrong.
My loopback adapter is running om 2.000.0001 and the ArtNet to DMX software I picking up.
And I also chose that IP I Bomac.
So do I make another loopback with a different IP?

You need only one adapter, but many IPs.

One IP per software like this:
    2.0.0.1 that other Art-Net software
    2.0.0.2 BOMAC
    2.0.0.3 dot2

That IP for BOMAC should entered in project settings under tab "special" / "local ip".

  • Make mor IP addresses but still cant get all the software work together.

Anyway, the bomac can’t handel two APC20 so I cannot use it.
