Hi Theo,
I use Coolux Compact Player with Jog Shuttle Board and SMPTE Link.
Fast and comfortable to use especially when you program time code show.
Optionally you can choose only software (cheaper version ) and use your own windows computer as a hardware. However you still need SMPTE Link.

You can also have a look into Reaper. This is a software which can play audio and link a timecode to it.

In the search for a smpte player I have encountered TIMELOARD.
They send the GMA2 via artnet.
Is there anyone who works with time code-artnet-timelord dot2 -
Timelord can be used with a Kissbox to output MTC or LTC which can be used with every Timcode compatible device also with Dot2.

Hello...i use VirtualVTR. For Mac I also found Video Slave by Non-Lethal-Applications. But next v4.x will also be for Windows, and arrive some time late next year.
Best solution so far is using MIDI and MTC(midi time code) between daws on different computers. So slave another daw on other computer, kind of.
But have to check first with virtual midi cable if it position good enough - best if it at least go to I-frame accurate, but best if frame accurate. -
Timelord was the tool of my choise. Did 2 shows with it but you need to make sure you use an proper Midi-Device. There was an recommondation from MA Support to use the Midisport UNO or better in one of the threats.
