i currently use group xx then color change in my exec, i want a (if selected) then color change.

Could you please explain it a bit more?

Maybe @b52productions issue is solved by the "Selfix" function!? If you press the "Select" button you can push on one of the exec buttons and you will select all Fixtures which are part of the executor, then you can change the color and update your exec!
If this is not what you mean, then we need a more detailed explanation!
