Load and Shoot busking looks without the blind function

At about 14:15 in this video the programmer has a tap tempo button that sets the tempo and a go button that allows him to copy this new tempo to fade times. He taps a tempo, selects a new look and then once he hits go the new look will fade in over 2 bars according to the tap tempo. Anyone have any ideas how to accomplish this?

Im looking for a good way to cock/load and shoot new looks in time with a band over X amount of bars, without doing everything through the blind function. Its just much faster to use physical buttons instead of the touchscreens

Hi,
this is, I guess, Luke Stratton's answer, he is the programmer from the video, but he did it with gma2 software. Try implement on dot2 and do not forget to share your result for the others.

I assigned the master rate fader to a executor fader then to the midi board. I gave all values a 20 sec fade that only use master rate. I then have 20 seconds to cue up a new look then slide the rate fader to full value and it changes everyrhing instantly when I want it too.
